2. Root Vegetables

If it grows in the ground, it is probably full of starch.  This include potatoes, sweet potatoes, beets, parsnips, carrots, and turnips.

Eating too many of these, frying them, or adding lots of butter or sugar make these vegetables very unfriendly to your belly. Peeling potatoes, carrots, and sweet potatoes make them even more unhealthy.

Since these can be healthy, just be aware of how many you are eating and what you are topping them with.  And stop peeling carrots!
