If your doctor is always harping on at you about high blood pressure, then maybe the DASH diet can convince you to take a stand finally. This diet stands for Dietary Approaches to Stop Hypertension and is a recommendation by the National Heart, Lung, and Blood Institute.
This diet makes you eat plenty of fruit and vegetables, as well as lean proteins and whole grains. It also asks you to cut out food high in fat, sugar, and salt.
